MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

What makes a school a special place? The answer must undoubtedly be…the people!

Walt Disney once said: “You can dream, create, design and build the most wonderful place in the world, but it requires people to make the dream a reality.” I would like to extend this idea and add that I believe it also takes people working as a team and sharing the dream to make it work and to be a special place. Pinehurst is blessed with; amazing teachers,  happy children and a committed parent body.

A school is a human institution which needs to be flexible enough to change and meet the challenges of the present times whilst at the same time having the strength to remain true to its ethos and values. Einstein remarked that life was like riding a bicycle and that to keep your balance, you must keep moving forward. Keeping a balanced education and a forward moving one, continues to be one of our aims at Pinehurst. We enjoy a rich legacy and a wonderful foundation on which to continue to build.

In amongst the activities and daily hum-drum, it is important for us to keep ‘heart issues’ central to what we are about. My hope is that Pinehurst will be a place where each child is valued for who they are and not just for what they do.

Let us together strive to achieve: “Excellence in a Values-Based Community.”
